Eid ul Fitr is three day holiday that marks the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan. Ramadan is a month-long holiday when Muslims fast, or go without food and drinks, during daylight. During Eid, which means "Festival of the breaking of the fast", Muslims celebrate with family, friends, and food, joining each other with prayers and other traditions. The Arabic expression of "Eid Mubarak" (in English blessed feast/festival) is commonly said to others on this day. To know more about this tradition and how it is celebrated in other countries, you can follow this link.

As well, here I share a website that offers several books in different languages to explore more about this celebration with young children: Eid multilingual books.
